After graduation
The exchange programme contains a preferred list of English courses taught at UGent of the Master of Science in Geography and Geomatics.
Most of the courses in the main programme are taught in Dutch; in such cases, English course material and guidance can be provided and students are allowed to take their exam in English. Students are required to take up the practicalities related with following a Dutch-language course with the lecturer as soon as possible. Incoming students need to contact the departmental Erasmus coordinator before submitting their application to determine whether suitable courses for the learning agreement can be found.

- Please check the departmental rules for incoming students.
- A minimum number of 20 ECTS per semester (or 40 ECTS per year) should be chosen.
- 0-15 ECTS per semester can be chosen from other programmes.
- Recommended English courses in other related study programmes such as Urbanism, Archaeology, Physical Land Resources, Geology, Biology, etc.
- Exchange students can be involved in research carried out by the department by taking up a Masters' thesis topic (course Research project).
