1 International exchange

This list is only meant for incoming exchange students, and lists the English courses from the engineering: architecture programmes of the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture (FEA, courses beginning with an E).

The exchange programme for incoming exchange students is determined in accordance with the faculty's modalities for exchange, and comprises the following number of ECTS:

if the exchange spans one semester: minimum 20 ECTS, maximum 30 ECTS
if the exchange spans one year: minimum 40 ECTS, maximum 62 ECTS

At least 50% of the courses must be chosen from the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture (course codes starting with E). Courses from another faculty can only be subscribed to on request and in consultation with the International Relations Office.

Exceptions on the minimum requirements are only possible in specific situations (e.g. students who only need to pass the master's thesis to achieve their degree at the home university), and exceptions are always motivated, in accordance with the faculty's modalities for exchange.

1.1 Specific Courses Learning Agreement

Incoming exchange students who are coming to do research or an internship at the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, should add one of the courses listed below to their Learning Agreement. These students must have contacted the International Relations Office (international.ea@ugent.be) beforehand. The number of credits per course will be added in the curriculum in accordance with the Learning Agreement.

Incoming exchange students who want to take up a language course, should add E999997 Language Course to their Learning Agreement. This course will be replaced by one or more specific language courses in the curriculum. Incoming exchange students must have contacted the International Relations Office (international.ea@ugent.be) beforehand.
