Master of Arts in Global Studies
The Erasmus Mundus Master in Global Studies – A European Perspective is a two-year programme organised jointly by five European and nine world-wide partners. This international research-based Master's programme combines perspectives, methods and theories developed in history, the social sciences, cultural as well as area studies and economics to investigate phenomena of global connectedness.
Open Days
Each spring there is a Graduation Fair. It consists of a job fair (with more than 200 different companies) and a postgrad/master fair.
For some programmes, there is a specific Open Day. If this is the case, you will find the date here (at the latest Feb 15th).
Admission for students holding a Flemish degree

Admission for Students holding a Non-Flemish Degree
Applicants should meet the following requirements:
- A three-year bachelor’s degree or the recognized equivalent from an accredited institution in the humanities or social sciences, with a minimum of 15% global studies–relevant courses;
- Excellent English skills: Proficiency in English needs to be proven with an official English certificate as listed below under Application Documents. Native English speakers must provide proof of knowledge of a language other than English at the A2 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages;
- Knowledge of another foreign language at the A2 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (to be proven by a high school certificate and/or an internationally recognized test, score certificates, or equivalent proof of participation in language courses)

Language requirements

Excellent English skills: applicants need to prove their proficiency in English by providing official test scores for one of the following standardized English proficiency tests: TOEFL (min. 550 paper-based, 213 computer-based, 80 internet-based), IELTS (min. 6.5 with no section less than 6.5), Cambridge C2 Proficiency (CPE, grades A, B, C), Cambridge C1 Advanced (CAE, grades A, B).
Exemption: applicants who have studied for more than one year at or received a degree from a university at which English was the language of instruction are not requested to take one of the previously mentioned proficiency tests. An official certificate from the applicant’s university is required to confirm that English was the language of instruction.
