Bachelor of Science in Business Engineering
A business engineer combines a business economic training with a thorough understanding of technological products and processes. You become a mediator between production and other product-oriented functions.

- Knowing and adequately using the core concepts and theories related to technical business administration and business economics and understanding their relationship.
- Having an understanding of decision support models and systems and (relation of) underlying assumptions.
- Having an understanding of economic sciences, exact sciences and technical-technological sciences and being able to interpret the role of technology and their importance and interaction in the context of technical business administration and business economics.
- Having an understanding of the supporting sciences (statistics, mathematics and computer science) and being able to use them effectively in (i) converting business and technical data into business-relevant information and (ii) establishing decision models.
- Modelling and formulating under supervision research problems of a business economic or technical nature based on a scientifically based critical attitude.
- Identifying and processing relevant scientific sources.
- Choosing and correctly applying research methods and techniques in research problems of a business economic or technical nature.
- Critically processing the results of existing and own initial research while respecting deontological requirements.
- Forming a critical judgment on one's own elaborated business economic or technical model based on well-founded analysis and logical reasoning.
- Abstracting, integrating, analyzing and modelling a current social, business or technical problem from multiple perspectives.
- Possessing problem-solving skills to optimize or rewrite business economic and technical problems in different contexts at various levels of abstraction.
- Reporting in writing on business economic or technical problems, their solutions or research results.
- Communicating orally on business economic or technical problems, their solutions or research results.
- Working in (a diverse) team to analyze and solve a business economic or technical problem.
- Knowing the key social trends and being aware of their impact within the profession with a focus on sustainability, innovation and entrepreneurship.
