Exchange Programme History
The Faculty offers a wide selection of English-taught courses in Languages, Cultures, History, Archaeology, Art Sciences, Ethics and Philosophy.
What
By choosing history courses, you will learn to ask the right questions, track down relevant sources, and determine which methods to apply to extract useful information. Subsequently, you will learn to analyse, evaluate, and synthesise this historical data.
Structure
The workload is 30 ECTS credits per semester or 60 ECTS credits per year. You will need to select a study programme of at least 20 ECTS credits, 60% of which is offered by the faculty of Arts and Philosophy. It is not necessary to limit yourself to a single exchange programme; courses from different programmes may be combined.
It may also be interesting to consult the courses at other Ghent University faculties, such as the faculty of Political and Social Sciences and the faculty of Economics and Business Administration, as they offer courses that may be relevant to your home degree.
