Competence field 1: Competences in one/more scientific discipline(s)
- Understand the basic sciences and basic engineering sciences and have the ability to apply them in an innovative, practical and target‐oriented way within the own field of engineering.
- Use of professional and applicable methods and techniques in an innovative and target‐oriented way.
- Think algorithmic, analyse and design software, abstract on system level and programme fluently in an object-oriented language.
- Master the construction and operation of simple and complex processor and computer architectures and develop applications on flexible embedded systems.
- Analyse, design, implement and test digital and analog circuits using measuring devices, evaluation boards, high-level description languages and simulation tools.
- Draw up control engineering models and apply the basic principles of control theory.
- Encode data and signals, process, transmit and represent by electronic information and communication systems.
- Look up, evaluate and work with technical and scientific information in a target‐oriented way and refer to it correctly.
- Correct use of standard models, research methods and techniques in assignments.
- Schematize and model experiments, processes and/or systems and test these in an actual context.
- Initiate problem based research in the subject field.
- Show self‐reliance, precision, assertiveness and critical reflection.
- Show technical‐scientific curiosity.
- Think in a conceptual, analytical, system‐oriented and problem‐solving way at different levels of abstraction and in a variable context.
- Ability to communicate own work orally, in writing an in graphics.
- Master scientific and discipline‐specific technical terminology in Dutch and in English.
- Elaborate concrete tasks systematically (as a team), with attention to limiting conditions in the technical realization.
- Act in an ethical and social way.
- Awareness of corporate aspects.
- Awareness of environment, quality, safety and durability.
