Master of Arts in Linguistics and Literature (English)
This Master's programme offers advanced course units in English Linguistics and Literary Studies. Although students take up course units in both scientific disciplines, they have the ability to focus upon one of them. The language of instruction for all course units is English.
Open Days
Each spring there is a Graduation Fair. It consists of a job fair (with more than 200 different companies) and a postgrad/master fair.

Admission for Students holding a Non-Flemish Degree

This programme is open for students who have obtained a bachelor’s degree in English language, linguistics and literary studies. Our master’s courses are specialized courses on topics of English linguistics and literary studies, so we do expect incoming students to have an understanding of:
- the structures and use the English language
- English and theoretical linguistics
- the analysis of (English) literary texts
- the history of English literature
- general literary theory
Language requirements
Language requirements for this study programme differ from the required standard level for Dutch taught study programmes as specified in the Ghent University Education and Examination Code.
Depending on the chosen language(s), different language requirements apply.
