Competence field 1: Competency in one or more scientific disciplines
- Have scientific knowledge, insight and practical experience in basic sciences such as (bio)chemistry, physic, mathematics, data analysis and microbiology.
- Have knowledge, understanding and practical experience of engineering sciences in bioprocess technology focused on food process technology and green technology.
- Have knowledge, understanding and skills related tot economic management with a particular focus on the circular economy.
- Understand sustainability within food process technology and green (chemical) technology.
- Select and implement appropriate analysis and measurement techniques for applications in food process technology and green technology.
- Make an inventory, selecting and interpreting scientific information sources in a goal-oriented way.
- Apply the basic principles of setting up a scientific experiment under supervision.
- Collect data, statistical processing of the data and testing mathematical models against the data.
- Creatively use of data and knowledge to optimize an experiment.
- Application-oriented and analytical problem-solving thinking, designing, developing and creative innovating.
- Demonstrate independance, accuracy and critical reflection.
- Demonstrate scientific curiosity on circular bioprocess technology.
