Competence field 1: Competence in one or more scientific disciplines

Apply advanced knowledge of theories, models, bounds, methods, techniques, processes and applications of mathematics to analyze and solve new or complex theoretical or applied problems.
Have specialized knowledge related to a major (pure mathematics, mathematical physics, applied mathematics) and use this knowledge in an innovative and creative way.
Use mathematics related technological tools (such as domain specific software packages) in advanced problems and research, self-employedly and constructively.
Understand the consistency with other relevant scientific fields and subfields and be able to involve them in more sophisticated ideas and applications.
