Organising institutions
The Honours program In Life Sciences: Breaking Frontiers is an extra-curricular program.
After a selection procedure, for which the student applies, the student is admitted to the Honours program.
Students conduct their research between the 2nd semester of Bachelor 2 and the 1st semester of Master 1 of for students in the faculty ‘Veterinary Medicine’ the program can also be followed between the 2nd semester of Bachelor 3 and 1st semester of Master 2.
The Honours program includes a general part and a specific part:
- The general part: a limited number of compulsory lessons and lectures (discussions @ dinner) and a large share of self-study.
- The specific part: a project-related research in the lab, school, hospital, clinic or company. Also writing a scientific paper and making a scientific poster that is presented as a final assessment.
